How to run a successful allied health clinic - 3 easy steps!

Something I see quite often in private practice clinics…

When practitioners first start their businesses, they overextend themselves, which leads to burnout and a failure to meet the success goals they had set for themselves.

This happens when, after starting your business and investing some energy in your one-on-one clients, you try to diversify your revenue stream too soon by producing some products and resources to sell. You may also invest some energy in creating a workshop or course or by offering mentoring and supervision.

In the end, you find yourself with an empty cup, four or five different processes running concurrently without any established protocols, and no real revenue or clinic growth.

In order to run a successful and profitable Allied Health business I highly recommend you focus on one element at a time.

The first thing you should do is assess your clinic's daily operations and procedures, such as your policies for client retention, invoicing and reconciliation, and client onboarding. Put all of your effort into this; create streamlined, effective workflows and ensure they are documented so you can outsource and trust that your administrative tasks are being handled in a way that you can comprehend and feel at ease with.

Once you’ve perfected the first process, move on to your next income stream. Create your sales process and any other procedures and automations so this element runs smoothly without too much input from you.

Create your next idea after that, making sure to put processes and procedures in place so you can assign parts of the project to outside parties as needed.

Follow this process for each new income stream you choose to add to your business, outsourcing as you go, and watch as your clinic grows without you having to worry about extra stress or burnout!
